Responsibilities

  • Driving vehicles from point of origin to designated destination
  • Completing daily driving logs
  • When applicable transporting materials (raw or other) from plants,  construction sites and or other locations as needed/required; may include distribution of materials
  • Maneuver vehicle into loading/unloading positions
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
  • Refuel the vehicle
  • Inspect vehicles and report any irregularities
  • Plan routes using GPS
  • Make deliveries on time
  • Load/Unload the vehicle if necessary 
  • Perform basic maintenance when applicable such as
  • Comply with local, state, federal truck driving rules and regulations
  • Report any on-road incidents to OHL NA Supervision
  • Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License 
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Previous experience operating and maintaining construction site vehicles, equipment.
  • Possess only 1 (one) License-  You, as a licensed commercial vehicle license  driver (CDL license) may not possess more than one mother vehicle operators license

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will require ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments. Employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud noise.
